The Disch-DeClouet Social Service Center, a non-profit organization, serves the poor and needy of Iberia Parish with immediate assistance for critical and basic human needs.

The assistance is provided without a waiting period and without charge.  Our mission includes treating all clients with dignity, respect, and cheerfulness; counseling them on personal and financial issues; encouraging them in their illnesses, grief, and other troubles; and praying with them.

Financial / Material Assistance to the People of Iberia Parish

The Disch-DeClouet Social Service Center provides assistance with utility bills, rent, food, clothing, burials, diapers, milk, and other basic human needs.

Client Requirements

Each client is required to bring the following information for each visit:

  • Proof of Income (pay stub, SSI and SSA Award Letters, Child support information, etc.)
  • Food Stamp Award Papers, if applicable
  • Most recent water bill
  • Most recent light bill
  • Most recent gas bill
  • Rent receipt
     

Client Hours

“We are open Monday through Thursday.  We serve the first 25 people in line when we open the doors at 8 AM. 

We are able to accept donations of clothing, food, bedding, household items, diapers (for adults and children), and other items from 8 AM to 10:00 AM Monday through Thursday. If you can only donate after hours, call and leave a message and we'll work something out.
